Nancy's Hat (2018)

We visited friends who had a 20 acre farm near Thurmont, Maryland. As I roamed the property, there, in the wash house, stood this old rocking chair with a garden hat perched on top. I was drawn to it immediately and asked if I might do a sketch and painting of it. Completed 2001.
