Ponte Vecchio, Florence, Italy

When we have been in Italy, we have stayed across the Arno from the central part of Florence. Among other things, this means that we had to cross one of the bridges several times a day. One of the most recognizable features of Florence is this bridge which has all manner of shops built on both sides of it. They say that this is the only bridge in Florence that was not bombed in the second world war. It is difficult to paint, but very much worth the effort.
